Joining a Guestboard Event as a Guest

Joining a Guestboard Event as a Guest – It's Easy!

1. Accept the invitation

There are only a couple ways you can be invited to an event on Guestboard– an email, or a direct link (which can also be sent via SMS). Check out which section below applies to you, and continue on.

"I received an email invitation!" ✉️

In your email, you'll see 3 clear RSVP responses (this helps the organizer know who's coming, but you knew that). Simply choose your RSVP response and you'll be directed to the welcome screen to join the event.

The invite link leads to the same place that the email invitation does, but with the added step up front to select your RSVP response. They're one in the same!

2. The Welcome Screen

If youve clicked from an invite link or an invitation email, you'll see a beautiful splash "welcome" screen right before you enter the event. You'll know you're in the right place because you will see the event title, details, and a short welcome description from the organizer. In order to join the board, you'll simply need to enter your name and email address (no password needed!), so that you can take advantage of all the interactive benefits of Guestboard.

3. Choose a Nickname/Label (optional)

By now, your RSVP has been recorded and you're almost in! The final step before joining is entering an optional nickname/label. These are specific to each event you join on Guestboard, and appear under your name in Guest List, as a way for everyone to get to know you better.

So for a tech conference, you might choose "Head of Marketing @ BigTech Inc.". But for a wedding you might choose "John's friend from high school!". You can always skip this step, or edit your label any time once you're in the event.

4. Welcome to the Board! 🎉

You're in! Take a poke around at the differet widget tabs in the navigation. Your organizer has likely enabled many of them, such as the Schedule, Message Board, Video Chat, and more. Each is interactive in it's own way and has a variety of uses, based on the event type.

5. Stay connected on the go with the Guestboard App 📱

We'll notify you via email when something significant takes place in your Guestboard event (a new resource is added, someone replies to your post, etc).

But for an even smoother experience, we recommend our Guestboard iOS App or Guestboard Android app. You'll be able to connect on the go, control how you receive push notifications, and easily create your OWN Guestboard event for personal or professional use. Events under 30 guests are completely free 🤙

Enjoy!
